Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actress. She is most famous for her role as Skyler in the AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and won Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress for Drama Series 2013 & 2014. The actress has also appeared as Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock in Deadwood. The actress was born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in the year 1968, Anna Gunn fell in love with the art of acting at Preparatory School, before her family moved to Ohio during the latter part of 1970. The theatre studies she pursued took place through Northwestern University. A semester was spent at the British American Drama Academy. Anna was employed as a theatre actor in the Chicago area for a few years before trying her hand at TV as well as film roles. In 1992, Anna was offered her first big part in the role of Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. Following her appearance as a Guest Star in several TV Shows and Films, including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue in the 1990's, she was chosen to play Jean Ward as part of The Practice. The role was played by Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons in the late 2000s. Skyler is her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully and Deadwood were also the highlights of her acting career. Gunn played a role in the David Schwimmer directed film Sex With Strangers. In 2022, Gunn starred in a four-part audio-play podcast titled Numbered Days. Breaking Bad often revolves around Walter White and Skyler's relationship. The drama's tension and final end reflect the final seasons of Walter White.
