Selena Gomez, an actress and singer, is a household name internationally. The Disney film Wizards of Waverly Place, one of the largest projects in which she participated and which has had the highest success, is her project. Her full name is Selena Marie Gomez. Her full name is Selena Marie. Amanda Cornett is her mother and Ricardo Gomez is her father. Her mother was only sixteen when Selena was born. When she was just 9 years old Selena made her first job on the stage when she played Gianna in Barney and her Friends. The result was that she appeared in the world's most anthropomorphic and purple dinosaurs. Selena was a part of the cast for a number of seasons, including season 7 and 8 between 2001 to 2003. Selena Gomez wasn't the sole singer to work on Barney & His Friends from 2001 to the year 2003. Demi Lorvato joined the group as well. Selena Gomez, after she quit the show, auditioned unsuccessfully for several movies and television shows. She got a small role in the 2003 movie Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over) and a different one as Julie as Julie in Walker Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire. She also was given the role as Emily Grace Garcia in the 2005 Brain Zapped program for which she wrote a song.
